The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a children’s book that engages readers of all ages within a world of magic, adventure and fantasy. A re-design done for this book looked to emanate these characteristics within its pages. The type was laid out in a clear and easy to read manor to ensure that readers of all age-groups could easily  engage with the story. The original illustrations created that begin each chapter are done in a simplistic sketch-style that helps to excite the reader for the next phase of the book while still letting the reader’s own imagination remain in control. The cover uses a similar style of illustration with a pop of bold colours to help draw the eye of younger readers and to add a sense of fun and excited to the overall feel. A handwritten font was chosen to pair with the sketch style of the illustration to further this sense of fun and wonder.
